CM will Have to Pay for his Corrupt Acts: Harish Rao
Hyderabad: Siddipet MLA Harish Rao today lashed out Chief Minister Revanth Reddy by saying that he will have to play the spoils for the irregularities committed by him. On Thursday, Harish Rao met former Kodangal assembly constituency MLA Patnam Narender Reddy, who was arrested in connection with the Lagacharla violence case.
Speaking to media persons, Harish Rao alleged that Narender Reddy was arrested in a conspiracy to take revenge on the town and added that the revolt against public administration started from Kodangal. “The arrest is a testimony to the government's depravity. The people of Lagacharla village were paying for voting to the ruling Congress party.
The Congress party leaders were lying. Whatever happens wherever it happens, it is put on the BRS party. Revanth was saying that if unemployed people, farmers and police voluntarily stage dharna, it was being done by the BRS party. If the tribals fight for their lands in Revanth's own constituency, it is also said the BRS was behind it. “It is our responsibility as Opposition parties to fight if injustice is done to the people,” he said.
He demanded the immediate release of tribal farmers. “Will arrests be made if questioned? Where is democracy? If Revanth protested for two days in Mallannasagar, did we stop him,” he asked. He said the rebellion of the people would not stop. He said 14,000 acres of land was acquired for the pharma city during their party’s rule. He asked why the proposed pharma company was not built there.
He alleged that in the guise of Indiramma scheme, the lands of Dalits and tribals were being grabbed and mocked that Indiramma's Emergency rule is now visible. "Indiramma's rule is to grab the land of farmers. Revanth's rule is for Adani, brothers and his son-in-law,” he alleged. He made it clear that the BRS party would stand by the Dalits and tribals of the State.
